Marla’s story began when she was thrown out at the Lexington Village Apartments in Madison Heights. Thankfully, a kind person took her in—but with another cat already in the home, tensions rose, and Marla eventually came to Madison Heights Animal Control. Since then, she’s been nothing but sweet and well-mannered with everyone she meets. Now, Marla is safe at the Catfé Lounge and patiently waiting for her forever family. She’s a shy girl who thrives with an empty cardboard box, a gentle approach, and truly blossoms in a calm environment. Marla also enjoys the company of well-behaved fellow cats, making her a great fit for a peaceful multi-cat home.

Meet the Pet
Some of our kitties are in foster homes and about 40 are at our shelter. So be patient! We may have to schedule a visit at a foster home.
Approve Application
The volunteer adoption coordinator will call your veterinary reference and your personal references. Video home visit too!
