Ferndale Cat Shelter's mission is to elevate the process for adopting a cat and expanding your precious family. Our volunteers and staff are always available to answer questions and provide guidance when you need assistance.
Ferndale Cat Shelter serves the Metropolitan Detroit area including Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties.
Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- Once you submit an application, one of our dedicated adoption volunteer coordinators will contact you.
- Meet the Pet
- Some of our kitties are in foster homes and about 40 are at our shelter. So be patient! We may have to schedule a visit at a foster home.
- Approve Application
- The volunteer adoption coordinator will call your veterinary reference and your personal references. Video home visit too!
