3 year old Damon is the definition of a gentle soul. This sweet boy has faced some tough challenges in his life, including heartworm disease that left damage to his heart. Because of this, Damon will need to remain on heart medication for the rest of his life, as well as daily eye drops occasionally due to some dry eye. Thankfully, he takes both without any fuss, making his ongoing care easy to manage.

Despite his medical needs, Damon is full of energy and joy. He absolutely loves playing fetch and can happily chase a ball for hours. He also enjoys long walks and being outdoors, but he balances that energy with an independent and calm nature. Damon isn’t a barker—even when left alone—and he’s not destructive, so he doesn’t require a crate. He would do equally well in an apartment, condo, or house.

When it comes to other dogs, Damon can be a little wary at first, but with slow and proper introductions, he does just fine. Once he feels comfortable, he shows his easygoing nature. Dog Savvy cats would be best as he can chase the. Children 6+

One of Damon’s most endearing quirks is his adorable little snore when he’s sleeping—it’s guaranteed to melt your heart.

All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety.
