Compassionate Adoption Needed for Our Sweet Nerena

We’ve done everything we can for our beautiful Nerena… and our hearts break knowing she still hasn’t found the forever home she so deeply deserves. Today, we are posting her as a compassionate adoption, hoping someone will see the incredible soul we see every day.

Nerena is a senior girl, about 8–9 years young, with a gentle spirit, plenty of spunk, and the happiest little snowy face. She still loves her walks, still enjoys playtime, and still finds joy in the simple things.

Her medical diagnosis is still uncertain, narrowed down to Evans Syndrome (an autoimmune disorder) and/or IMHA (Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia). She loses small tufts of hair and may develop lesions, and she is currently on prednisone to help keep her comfortable.

We have spent thousands on Nerena’s care, and we know she can live out her days happily with the right compassionate companion—someone who can offer patience, stability, and unconditional love.

For Nerena, we are looking for:

- A fenced yard
- A home where she can be the only dog, so she can receive all the attention she deserves
- No dogs, cats or children, please we want her life to be stress free

Nerena may take a little longer to warm up to men and to new people visiting the home, but with time and gentle reassurance, her sweet nature shines through.

Nerena didn’t ask for this life, but she is still so full of love to give. She deserves a calm, understanding home where she can feel safe, cherished, and finally at peace.

Help us find Nerena the compassionate home she has been waiting for.
If you feel called to open your heart to Nerena, please rplease fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/

All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety.

NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed.

BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!

More about this rescue

At All Paws Matter Dog Rescue along with our sister rescue SOS el Arca, we are determined to save as many broken, abused, abandoned to die and neglected street and shelter dogs in Canada and Mexico as we can. Motivated by a deep love of our 4 legged friends, our mandate is to save and improve as many lives as possible. We have seen many tragedies and have witnessed the most horrible cruelties, but we know working together we can make a significance difference. Raising the awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering our 4 legged friends and through the love and support of our wonderful volunteers, supporters and adopters our hope is to rescue, heal and successfully rehome as many of these deserving souls as possible.
