Ready to adopt? Start by filling out an application at tailsofrescue.org or click the Adoption button below—this is the first step to learn more about our animals and for us to get to know you. Since not all of our pets come into the store each day, adoption meet-and-greets are scheduled by appointment.
Meet Rock Gecko
This six-month-old mixed pup is as handsome as his name is cool! With his naturally docked tail and those Boxer looks, Rock Gecko is part of our Gecko family — related to many of the other white and brown pups you’ve seen in our photos.
He takes about ten minutes to warm up, but once he does, he’s all in — affectionate, loyal, and full of heart. His house training is going great, and he loves heading outside in “pack mode.” We’re still working on leash manners, as the leash is a little scary for him right now, but he’s learning with patience and trust.
Rock Gecko would do best with another dog friend and hasn’t been exposed to small children, cats, or livestock. This sweet boy is ready for his forever home — one that matches his gentle spirit and helps him continue to grow in confidence.

Spayed/Neuiterd, micro chipped, heartworm negative (if of age), dhpp shots, kennel cough vacs., and one year rabies is completed. Adoption fee is $300
We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things. We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animals must come to Redding for pick up.
