Meet Sanji!! This handsome guy came in as a stray on 9/19/25, and we think he’s about a year old. Sanji started out a little unsure of us—he wasn’t quite convinced we were the good guys—but every day he’s learning that people mean belly rubs, treats, and friendship.
Sanji is the kind of dog who just needs a little extra time to trust. But once he knows you’re safe, he’ll reward you with happy smiles, tail wags, and plenty of kisses. Underneath his cautious exterior is a sweet pup who just wants a person to call his own.
He’s available for adoption now, so come meet him and earn his heart—it’ll be worth it!

Our office is open Monday- Friday 8:30-4:30 and Saturdays from 10:00-2:00. Our kennels are closed on Mondays. The kennels are open Tuesday- Friday 11:00-4:15, Saturdays we open 10:00-1:45.

Did you know... The Richland County Dog Warden's Office & Adoption Center is self-funded and does not receive any tax paying dollars. Our revenue comes from dog license fees, adoptions, impound fees, and YOUR donations. You can send Donations by check or money order to the shelter: 810 N. Home Rd. Mansfield, Ohio 44906.
The shelter always accepts cash donations. However, there are always other things we need too. You can call it a wish list: Bleach, laundry detergent, Capstar flea tablets, Advantage flea drops, pet shampoo,Paper Towels, and sturdy collars and leashes for our dogs here at the facility and those going on transport to rescue.
