Meet Sunny ☀️ a 5 year old female pitbull mix who was found as a stray shortly after giving birth and ended up timestamped at a local shelter. Sunny is all that you could ask for in a pup—great with small children, dogs, cats, and anyone she meets. Sunny is also 100% potty trained and never once had an accident in her foster home.
She is a cuddle bug and very clingy to her people and dog friends. Sunny does not enjoy being left alone for long periods of time, but is crate trained and goes in on command and will wait safely there for your return home!
Sunny does very well in the car, knows the commands come and sit, and shares toys and food nicely with her doggy pals.
During her foster stay, Sunny was diagnosed with a chronic allergy bronchitis, but with daily inexpensive meds, she lives a comfortable life.
If you’re looking for the perfect companion dog that will fit in nicely to any home, Sunny is sure to brighten your days!
Sunny is spayed, UTD on all vaccinations, and fully vetted. If you’d like to add a ray of sunshine to your home, please go to www.zoeshouserescue.com to apply!

Who We Are:
Zoe's House, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare group based out of Sinking Spring,PA. We are comprised solely of volunteers that generously volunteer their time, their homes and their hearts. We are dedicated to rescuing homeless, neglected or abandoned animals from high kill shelters or from owners who can no longer care for them. We provide the animals with loving foster care, veterinary treatment and rehabilitation until we are able to pair them with compatible and loving forever homes. At times we also offer permanent sanctuary to those with special or medical needs and that are considered unadoptable.
Zoe's House serves as a resource to our community and to our adopters by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spay/neuter, behavior training, nutrition, puppy mill awareness, heartworm preventative and breed education. Our organization also networks with other shelters and rescues. We try to assist other organizations when possible.
Zoe’s House is not federally funded, and relies solely on donations to continue to rescue. Although we are not breed specific, the need to save Dobermans, Rottweilers, German Shepherds and Pitbulls is ever growing; therefore, we have focused primarily on saving the lives of our beloved and majestic strong breeds.
What We do:
There are many people involved in the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of each dog we take in. Our rescue effort starts with the initial intake request for a dog. Whether this be at a shelter of from an individual in the community, we try to gather as much information as we can. We then pickup or transport the dog to safety in rescue. At this time we administer immediate veterinary care to determine the health of the dog and ensure the animal has proper immunizations. We also have bloodwork done for a heartworm check, lyme, fecal and sometimes a blood panel depending on the age and health of the dog. The dog remains in "in-home" foster care and becomes a part of the fosters family for an undefined period of time. We evaluate the dog and work on basic manners and obedience. At times we have dogs for a longer duration due to health and/or age. The dogs in our care come with us to adoption events, home screenings, and ultimately permanent placement. Zoe's House then provides post-adoption follow-up and support and welcomes the new family to the "Zoe's House Family!" We strive to stay in close contact with all of our adopters to ensure the transition and life long relationship continues to be magical. We remain dedicated to the principal that we never want one of our rescues to end up in a shelter or in a home that does not provide a responsible and loving environment for the life of the animal.
We truly believe that one dog at a time... we are making a difference!
