Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🌟 Adoption Spotlight: Lacy 🌟
Lacy’s story is one of resilience. This 12–15-year-old long-haired Chihuahua came to us from a neglect case and has been searching for her chance at a safe, loving home. At under 10 lbs, she may be small in size, but she’s full of personality and spunk.
After completing her senior bloodwork, our vet determined that Lacy is not a suitable candidate for spay surgery due to her age and overall health. She is now medically cleared for adoption and is on prednisone once a day, which she will most likely need for the rest of her life.
Lacy is:
✔️ Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper, and Lepto vaccinated, and microchipped
✔️ Sweet and cuddly with people, though she can be bossy and growly around other dogs
✔️ Reported to do fine with kids in her previous foster home
✔️ Likely dealing with a trachea issue (causing a light cough), though her heart and lungs sound good according to our vet
Lacy is not potty trained and does mark her territory, but with patience and management (like belly bands or frequent trips outside), she can still thrive in a home setting.
This little lady needs an adopter who understands senior dogs, is patient with her quirks, and will give her the comfort she deserves in her golden years. 💕
