Meet Eden! This 2-year-old, 40-pound sweetheart is a tender, affectionate girl who is slowly but surely learning to navigate the world with growing confidence. Eden thrived in her temporary foster home, where she proved herself to be a loyal, cuddly, and deeply people-oriented companion. She loves being close to her person and settles right in for snuggles—she’s a velcro dog in the sweetest, softest way.
Eden made good progress with housetraining, and had a solid routine in place. She also practiced her crate skills. While she may whine at first, she does eventually settle and sleep. Eden is a sensitive girl, and crate time can be stressful for her, but she showed lots of improvement with patient, positive reinforcement.
On leash, Eden shines. She has wonderful leash manners—no pulling, no reactivity, and she’s easily redirected if she pauses to observe another dog. Her energy runs moderate to high, and she does best with structured walks, enrichment, and a cozy spot to relax afterward.
Eden is a smart girl who knows sit, paw, and is now learning lay down. She recently met her foster’s siblings and warmed up beautifully with slow, gentle introductions and treat-and-retreat exercises. With patience and reassurance, she becomes soft, social, and eager to connect.
Eden also seems to benefit from the presence of confident dogs. She loves playing with her friends at BARCS and looks to other dogs for cues and comfort. Because of this, Eden would especially thrive in a home with a friendly, self-assured canine companion who can help guide her through new experiences.
Eden is a tender-hearted, loyal young dog who just wants to feel safe, loved, and understood. With patience, structure, and positive reinforcement, she’s ready to blossom into the trusting, affectionate companion she’s meant to be.
Eden is currently in the comfort of a foster home. If you`re interested in meeting her, please complete an application and email dogfosters@barcs.org for next steps.

If you don’t see what you are looking for, please visit our shelter to meet your perfect match today! Adoption fees are $75; however, we offer several adoption packages listed here. Our adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 2-6 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
