Meet Our Beautiful Black Lab Boys
Introduction to Ricardo, Cricket, and Rugby
We are thrilled to introduce you to three remarkable black lab boys: Ricardo, Cricket, and Rugby. These lovely dogs were brought to our rescue at just six weeks old in February 2022, having been born on January 1, 2022. Since then, they have grown up here, surrounded by love and care.
The Reality of Black Dog Syndrome
Despite their wonderful personalities, these boys have yet to find their forever homes. Unfortunately, this is likely due to a phenomenon known as Black Dog Syndrome, which affects shelters and rescues nationwide. Black dogs are often overlooked in favor of lighter-colored animals, a trend we aim to change.
Why Ricardo, Cricket, and Rugby Are Perfect Pets
These labs are truly a joy to be around. They are:
Well-behaved: Each of these boys is well-mannered and eager to please.
Friendly: They get along beautifully with other dogs and people alike.
Intelligent: As smart labs, they are ready to train and learn new commands.
Having grown up at the rescue, they have never been outside their runs and playyards but are well-adjusted during their vet visits, where they get their updates and check-ups. They take their monthly preventatives without any fuss and have no food allergies, making meal planning simple and flexible.
What They Need in a Forever Home
Ricardo, Cricket, and Rugby are ready to become cherished members of a family. However, they need patient owners who understand decompression guidelines and are willing to help them adjust to a new world beyond the rescue—a world where they can be adored and valued.
Help Us Overcome Black Dog Syndrome
To assist these wonderful boys in finding homes, we are fundraising to reduce their adoption fees. Currently, the fee is $625, but with your help, we aim to lower this to $525. By raising $100 for each dog, we hope to lessen the impact of Black Dog Syndrome and find them the loving families they deserve.
How You Can Help
Spread the word about Ricardo, Cricket, and Rugby, and consider contributing to our fundraising efforts. Together, we can break down the barriers of Black Dog Syndrome and give these beautiful labs the happy lives they've been waiting for.
Thank you for your support and compassion. Let’s find Ricardo, Cricket, and Rugby their forever homes!
