Meet June

June is an 8-year-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever whose world was turned upside down when her family moved and decided she couldn’t come along. She ended up in a high-kill shelter through no fault of her own, but she has proven to be everything you’d hope for in a gentle, older retriever.

What makes June amazing:

Housebroken and never destructive

Good with all animals she meets—even small children

Quiet, calm, and the perfect houseguest

Walks beautifully on leash and rides wonderfully in the car

June is a sweetheart through and through—loyal, steady, and endlessly kind. She deserves a family who will treasure her golden years and give her the love she’s always given so freely.

The adoption donation varies on the age, breed and vet care provided. All of our dogs receive all necessary vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip, and dewormings. All of our long haired dogs are professionally groomed and our senior pups receive a dental. After filling out an adoption application, one of our team members will check your vet reference and set up a time for you to meet the dog. We do a home check as part of the adoption process and all members of the household (human and canine) must meet the dog prior to finalizing the adoption.

We are a 100% foster based rescue organization. We do not have a facility that you can visit as each of our dogs live in foster homes until they are adopted. We run off of donations and every dollar helps!
