Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Maeve — a 2-year-old spayed Husky mix with main-character energy and a heart made of marshmallow. Maeve is very excited to exit her kennel. Once she’s out, the stress melts away and you’re left with a soft, wiggly, tail-powered sweetheart who leans in like she’s trying to merge souls during petting. She’s energetic, playful, and a proud enthusiast of spontaneous zoomies — the kind that appear out of nowhere and make everyone nearby laugh. She’s friendly and politely enthusiastic about making dog friends, has enjoyed playtime with other shelter pups, and would love a buddy who speaks fluent zoomies.Meet and greet is recommended to make sure they are a good match. Maeve was previously adopted, and her former family had mostly good things to say: she’s housetrained, crate trained, walks nicely on leash, has some training under her belt, wasn’t destructive, and didn’t attempt any great escape missions. They felt she’d be happiest in a home with fewer kids and older children — basically a calmer kingdom for this energetic queen. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, zoomie-powered dog who just needs a little less chaos and a lot more adventure (and couch time with you afterward), Maeve is ready to wiggle her way into your life.
Foster Weekend Update – From Maeve’s Foster Family Maeve recently spent a weekend in foster care, and here’s what her foster family shared: Inside the home, Maeve was sweet, gentle, affectionate, curious, and very loving. She was happy just being near her people and clearly enjoys feeling like part of the family. Outside, she showed her playful side and had great energy for walks and hikes, especially when she could take her time sniffing and exploring — she could happily sniff around a yard for hours. Maeve isn’t very interested in toys, but food, treats, and attention are absolutely her favorite things. She was a little shy at first but did best when allowed to warm up at her own pace, quickly showing how loyal and loving she can be once comfortable. At night, Maeve slept in a crate. It took her a little time to settle, but she did well overall. She knows sit, come, and off, and her foster family described her as really smart and someone who would be easy to train with positive reinforcement. Her foster family believes Maeve would thrive in a calm, predictable household where she’s treated as a true member of the family. They described her as loyal, loving, and absolutely precious — a wonderful compa
