My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*HIDDEN GEM ALERT*
That’s right, we’ve got another hidden gem on our hands and boy oh boy are people missing out on this sweet gal! She goes by the name Faye and here’s what you should know about her:

Faye is a gorgeous young Hound mix with a heart as radiant as her soulful eyes. She’s settled into foster life like she was born for it—within no time, she found her happy place snuggled up on the couch beside her foster dad.

This sweet girl adores people of all ages and thrives on affection—both giving it and soaking it up. She’s also a big fan of her canine foster siblings and would be thrilled to have a playful dog companion in her forever home (bonus points if he’s a friendly and energetic male—because let’s be honest— what lovely lady doesn’t enjoy being the center of a boy’s attention ??)?

But Faye isn’t just lovable—she’s smart, attentive, and eager to please. She learns quickly and is highly trainable, making her a wonderful candidate for new tricks, routines, or fun adventures. And let’s brag for a moment: she’s completely potty trained with a perfect track record of zero accidents!

Crate or no crate? Faye’s easygoing either way. She’s comfortable being crated when needed, but also trustworthy enough to enjoy her freedom.

With her gentle spirit and zest for life, Faye is the perfect mix of relaxed and ready-for-fun. Whether she’s curled up for couch cuddles or bouncing around for playtime, she’s happiest just being near her people.

If you`re looking for a loving, loyal, and playful companion, Faye might just be your perfect match.

More about this rescue

We are in need of Foster Homes for our homeless animals!!! Can you help?

What is a Foster Home?
A foster home takes in one of our homeless animals rather than boarding them at the kennel and cares for it until we find a permanent loving home. Almost Home Foundation pays for the all animal's food and medical expenses. The foster home learns the animal's temperament and behaviors. The foster home learns if they get along with other animals. The foster home provides insights on the animals that helps Almost Home Foundation look for the right home for the animal.

Please help!! Just fill out this form and we will contact you or call 630-582-3738 and leave a message letting us know that you are interested in fostering!

We are an all-volunteer, registered, not-for-profit 501c3 animal rescue group. Our mission is to save adoptable dogs and cats from being destroyed by finding permanent, loving homes. For details, visit us online at www.almosthomefoundation.org.

Almost Home Foundation is always looking for volunteers to handle dogs at adoption shows, set up adoption shows, write for the newsletter, photograph events, or foster animals. For a list of opportunities, visit online at www.volunteermatch.org
or www.almosthomefoundation.org.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are a Rescue not a Shelter. This simply means we do not own a building where we house animals. We look for loving foster homes that will give temporary care and love on the animal’s journey to a permanent, loving home. When a foster home is not available, we will board the animal at a boarding kennel.

Our 5-year goal is to have a shelter. This is an aggressive goal that will take many donations and memberships. We will strive for this goal with a great team of volunteers and help from people like you! Please become a member, become a sponsor or make a donation.

Our animals are found strayed and brought in from the police. After being held for 7 days, we evaluate the temperament of the animal and determine if the animal is suitable to be a pet. On rare occasion, we will also rescue animals that are in desperate situations where the rescue makes the difference between life and death. We do not accept Owner Give-ups.
