SHERBERT NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Sherbert Best Guess for Breed: Catahoula and retriever mix
Best Guess for Age: 9 months as of December 2025 SEX: Male
Approximate Weight: 37.8 lbs as of 12/7/25- he is still growing!
Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Currently Living at: DC area foster home
Sherbert is Looking For: His forever home! This sweetie is at the tail end of puppyhood and ready to see the world! He’s eagerly looking forward to having his own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so he can show how super smart he is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And he will want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed.
Most of all, though, he wants to know he is safe and loved. In exchange he promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags he can store up, and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Is Sherbert the one you see by your side?
What My Foster Says About Me: Sherbert is one happy pup! He is curious, friendly, and loves to explore on walks. He does a great job walking on the leash. He enjoys watching squirrels and birds but is easily redirected when you want to keep on moving. He was extremely friendly with people on walks and very brave with the new city noises. He does a great job with other dogs on walks and in play. He is a sweet boy who would make for a great walking buddy.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
