My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pepper was locked inside a kennel in her home while being starved. We've had reports on her several years ago about being abused but we were never able to get anything done for her. Her owner ended up in the hospital for awhile so we were able to get a warrant to get the dog out of the home. She is very underweight with a body score of 2. She is in foster and doing amazing. Loves other dogs of any size and is working on her house training skills. Pepper is finally learning how to be a dog and her goofy personality is starting to shine. She is spayed and up to date. Ready for her new forever home.

More about this shelter

Our shelter is staffed by only a few employees so we greatly depend on volunteers to help care for our animals.
We work very closely with rescue groups to help move our dogs out of the shelter quickly. Our goal is to never have to euthanize for space. We cannot do that without rescue assistance because our adoption rates are very low.
