My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~

Health: ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam *****
Temperament: Meet Edward, an adorable 8-year-old Pomeranian weighing in at 11.5 lbs! This charming little guy has a classic Pomeranian personality, filled with love and a touch of spunk. Though he was a bit feisty on his first day, he quickly settled in and has shown his true, sweet nature ever since.

Edward is a snuggler who adores cuddling up with his humans, making him the perfect companion for cozy nights in. He loves his daily walks and remains energetic even after a mile, ready to explore the world around him. This vocal little guy is always eager to express his needs and is house-trained, making him a well-rounded addition to any home.

He enjoys his playpen and gives the cutest tiny kisses that are sure to melt your heart. While he could thrive as an only dog, Edward would absolutely love a small playmate to share his adventures with. He gets along well with larger dogs and is curious about cats, showcasing his friendly disposition.

Edward is a social butterfly, with a warm welcome for everyone he meets, and he shines during car rides, making travel a breeze. He is not food aggressive and shows enthusiasm with his adorable zoomies and prayer paws when you return home. If you see him quivering with excitement at the sight of a leash, you'll know he’s ready for another exciting outing!

With good recall and a past that suggests he was well-loved, Edward is a gem who will bring joy and laughter to your life. Plus, he’s calm and agreeable during grooming sessions, making him even easier to care for.

If you're ready to open your heart and home to a delightful companion, Edward is waiting to meet you! --

Where did he come from: He was a stray at the Arlington Shelter

Additional adoption info

Please allow up to 72 hours for a response.

Adopting one of our dogs requires that you fill out an adoption application, have your references checked, and let us visit your home.

The required minimum adoption donation is $250. That amount covers the spay/neuter, annual vaccinations, heartworm testing, and one month of heart worm preventative.

We spend about $300.00 just to treat the pommies that are heartworm positive. We have invested more than $1000.00 in several of our pommies--treating them and kenneling them. Kenneling cost $16 a day per dog. We need foster homes!
