My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~

Health: ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam *****
Temperament:  Meet Hot Tamale — the sweetest little fox!

Hot Tamale isn’t just cute… he’s a total heart-melter. This well-mannered, snuggly boy has a tail that never stops wagging and a gentle spirit that makes everyone fall in love fast.

He adores romping around the yard with his dog buddies and giving the occasional opinionated bark at the neighbors, but his true happy place is inside, curled up with his people. If he’s awake, there’s probably a tiny squeaky toy in his mouth. It’s his signature move.

House & Home Skills:
Mastered the doggie door
Great in a crate or behind a gate when you’re out
Sleeps soundly through the night: your bed or the couch both work for him
Walks well on leash and has excellent food manners

Social Life: Hot Tamale gets along wonderfully with small, friendly dogs. Big or high-energy dogs can overwhelm him, so he’d thrive in a home with gentle canine companions or cats.

If you’re looking for a devoted snuggle buddy with the perfect mix of playful and sweet, Hot Tamale is ready to be your loyal little shadow --

Where did he come from: He was surrendered to our rescue when his owner couldn't care for him.

 Adoption: ***** $700.00 ***** Weight: 8.1 lbs. Approximate age: 11/6/2023

Additional adoption info

Please allow up to 72 hours for a response.

Adopting one of our dogs requires that you fill out an adoption application, have your references checked, and let us visit your home.

The required minimum adoption donation is $250. That amount covers the spay/neuter, annual vaccinations, heartworm testing, and one month of heart worm preventative.

We spend about $300.00 just to treat the pommies that are heartworm positive. We have invested more than $1000.00 in several of our pommies--treating them and kenneling them. Kenneling cost $16 a day per dog. We need foster homes!
