My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a courtesy post. Please do not contact Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue for information. Contact information is provided in the description below.

This sweet 2-year old tuxedo bully mix was rescued by a kind person. She had a minor paw injury and was taken to the vet, where she was scanned for a microchip (didn't have one), treated for her paw injury, and given a rabies shot. She was reported to animal control as well as on social media, but no one claimed her.

She has not yet been spayed, but is scheduled to be spayed on November 3. She is very sweet, but her prey drive towards the rescurer's chickens and small dog is not a good fit for her to stay with the rescuer.

She needs to be the only animal in the home. She is housebroken, knows some basic commands, and walks well on a leash.

Additional adoption info

Everyone that adopts must first fill out an application and get approved by our adoption team. We allow people to meet our animals to make sure it is the right fit along with letting their animals meet our animals as well as long as that animal meets the vetting criteria.

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit and no-kill shelter in Rutherford North Carolina. We pull animals from animal control and take in animals from the community. We make sure everyone is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and put on something for fleas, ticks and heartworm prevention. We then place them up for adoption making sure they go into great homes.
