Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Miss Chippy!
A spirited almost four-year-old American Bully/American Pitbull Terrier mix currently living in Grayling, MI, whose heart is nearly as big as her love for tug-of-war and stuffies!
With her soft white coat, bright eyes, and an irresistibly goofy grin, Miss Chippy has a magnetic charm that draws people in wherever she goes! Weighing in at a perfectly huggable 43 pounds she’s packed with playful energy and affection, always ready to bounce into your arms, or onto your lap, for some serious cuddle time. Her signature move? A heartfelt “pittie hug” that could melt even the toughest of hearts! She also knows the sound of the cheese drawer opening from anywhere in the house.
This fun-loving girl thrives on activity. Whether it's strutting her stuff on a walk, making a splash in the water, or engaging in an enthusiastic game of tug-of-war, Miss Chippy is all in. She already knows “sit” and “paw,” takes treats with the utmost politeness, and is eager to learn more, especially if snacks are involved! She hasn't had formal obedience training yet, but her desire to please and her joyful spirit make her a great candidate for positive reinforcement and structured guidance.
Miss Chippy is a people-person through and through. She greets strangers with a wagging tail and a beaming smile, and she’s done well around children, though her exuberance means she’s better suited for families with older kids rather than toddlers. While she's dog-selective, she’s shown she can coexist peacefully with some male dogs, she’d shine brightest as the only pet or with a carefully matched canine companion. Cats, however, are a no-go for this playful gal.
Life in a kennel hasn't dulled her sparkle. Since being rescued from euthanasia in January, she’s shown remarkable resilience and sweetness. Now, she’s ready for a new loving home where she can enjoy daily walks, cozy snuggles, and a routine that gives her structure and joy.
Miss Chippy needs a new caring guardian who’ll offer her love, safety, and a space where her big personality and even bigger heart can truly thrive. Could your home be the new happy chapter she’s been waiting for?
