My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cider, a gentle, introverted kitty who prefers the quiet life and would thrive in a calm, outdoor-friendly home.

Cider is on the shy side and isn’t looking for the hustle and bustle of indoor life — instead, he’d love a safe outdoor setting like a barn, stable, or quiet property where he can explore, relax in the sunshine, and live life at his own pace. While he may not be a lap cat, Cider absolutely appreciates having a caring human who can provide food, shelter, and a peaceful place to call home.

With time, Cider may choose to show you little glimpses of his trust — a slow blink from across the yard, a curious peek around the corner — but he’s happiest when given space and freedom.

If you’re hoping to offer a deserving kitty a second chance and could use a friendly, low-maintenance companion around your property, Cider might be the perfect match. A safe outdoor home = a new beginning for this sweet, shy soul. 🍂🐾Adoption Hours are Thursday through Sunday from noon to 5pm. You do not need an appointment to come by and meet animals during adoption hours.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is based on making the right match. Though people can apply for a specific animal, we would like to know more about lifestyle and match a pet with that lifestyle. For example, we would not want to match an active dog with an inactive one. Therefore, our primary concern is the interview process and getting to know the potential adopter.
