My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Yogurt! 🐾💛

Yogurt is a 3-year-old momma dog who has already done the hard work of raising her puppies and is now ready to focus on herself and find the forever home she truly deserves. She is an incredibly sweet and gentle girl with the kind of soft soul that wins your heart the moment you meet her.

This pretty pup loves people and soaks up affection once she feels safe. Yogurt has a calm and tender nature, making her the type of companion who would be happiest in a home where she can relax, enjoy cozy naps, and be part of a family who appreciates her loving spirit. She may be shy at first, but she quickly blossoms with kindness and patience.

Yogurt is heartworm positive, but she’s getting the care she needs and will be able to live a full, happy life once her treatment is complete. She doesn’t let it dim her sweet personality—she still wags her tail, gives gentle looks of love, and enjoys every bit of attention she receives.

After giving so much of herself as a mom, Yogurt is ready to finally be the one who’s cherished. She’s dreaming of a forever family that will give her the stability, comfort, and unconditional love she deserves. 💕

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
