My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cinder is a cute 3-year old male Tuxedo kitty who was surrendered by his owner on September 19, 2025 (no reason given).

This little sweetheart has a shiny black short smooth coat with a patch of white on his chest, a long tail, and an adorable (rather mischievous-looking) face with golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers.

Cinder has a 'Type A' outgoing personality and seems to never have met a stranger. He is a petite little guy who weighs 5.2 lbs and is full of playful kitten-like energy.

Cinder was given vaccinations, wormer and flea treatment on September 28, 2025. He was given booster vaccines on October 18, 2025.

These photos of Cinder were taken on October 8th 2025 when HSOV Volunteer Wendy Irvin accompanied him in our 'studio' (i.e., the shelter bathroom). We had visions of taking multiple photos of Cinder as a wanna-be centerfold for 'Playboy Kitty Magazine .. But Cinder had other plans (none of which included posing for boring still-life pictures (hee hee). Instead he took advantage of his out-of-cage time to train for the Boston Kitty Marathon and to practice his high jumping exercises off the countertop (smile).

We guarantee that you will never be bored with Cinder in your life .. But also know that he relaxes and snuggles up as well (and we've witnessed him taking catnaps in his double-wide cage). Cinder gets along with other cats (and children).

Cinder was neutered on October 13, 2025 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 5.8 lbs that day.

Cinder is ready to find a fabulous home.

Cinder was adopted on November 20, 2025.
