Ragatha is a beautiful 3-year old female Tuxedo kitty who was brought to the HSOV on August 17, 2025 along with her six kittens (Bubble, Caine, Gangle, Kinger, Pomni, and Zooble) by a Good Samaritan who found them on Front Street in Marietta Ohio. Ragatha's kittens were estimated to have been 5-weeks old when they entered our shelter.
Ragatha has a sleek black short smooth coat with white markings on her chest/belly in a tuxedo pattern, white socks on her paws, a long tail, and an adorable chubby face with golden eyes, a white chin, a black velvet nose, and extra-long white whiskers.
Ragatha was given vaccinations and wormer on August 20, 2025. She was given booster vaccines on September 4, 2025.
Ragatha was a wonderful mother to her kittens and raised five happy, playful youngsters in a small shelter cage. Sadly her kitten Gangle did not survive and passed away on September 22nd. Ragatha was separated from her kittens in October 2025 after they were fully weaned.
Ragatha was spayed on November 3, 2025 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 7.8 lbs that day.
These photos of Ragatha were taken on November 21st 2025 when HSOV Kennel Techs Madison Lee and Hannah McClain spent time with Ragatha in our 'studio' and assisted her with glamour pictures. Ragatha has a sweet, outgoing personality and was a natural for posing and 'flirting' with the camera lens. She is a pushover for wet food and loves good catnip (smile). Ragatha enjoyed the aroma of catnip toys during her photo session and was quite playful.
Ragatha is ready to find a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue.

The HSOV Adoption application is available at our shelter during normal hours of operation and may also be completed online via our website.

Shelter management reviews applications for approval. If approved, potential adopters will be notified.

Take the Pet Home
All HSOV dogs and cats must be spayed/neutered before being adopted and going to their new home.

Our adoption process includes an adoption application which must be completed and approved by our shelter management. We verify veterinarian references and also approval from landlords if the pet will be housed in rental property. Home visits may also be required prior to adoption. All dogs/cats must be spayed/neutered before being adopted.
Adoption fee for dogs is $150.00 which includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, dog tag, microchip, and spay/neuter.
Adoption fee for cats is $40 and includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, and spay/neuter. Most adult cats (and kittens over 3-months of age) have already been spayed/neutered.
Adoption fees for other species varies.
