My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little sweetie is Casper, a 7-8 pound, almost 3-year-old, long-haired Chihuahua mix. Casper loves running around and playing in the fenced-in yard with the other small dogs in his foster home. He is not a big barker so he could live in a condo or apartment. Casper has moderate energy, walks well on a leash, is completely housebroken. This gentile pup will play with squeaky toys if enticed but he really prefers to simply hang out with his people. Casper is a "home body" vs an "adventurer" so he’s not a companion for lots of trips the car or visiting other places.

Casper is a shy boy who requires patient, gentle, kind adopter(s) who will give him time to acclimate to his new home and family. He really wants to be your best friend but he is initially wary, so going slowly and allowing him to get to know you (and others) is a must....but he is so worth it! Casper will happily jump up onto his foster mom's lap while she's watching TV or sit on the back of her recliner; he can be picked up but isn’t a fan of being held. Casper is a sweet boy who’d love to share your life with you.

Adoption Requirements: 1) Quiet/calm household. 2) No children in the home. 3) Another laid back, small dog (or two) in the home.

This dog has been examined by licensed veterinarians, been provided vaccines, tested for disease, dewormed, neutered, and microchipped. ADOPTION APPLICATIONS are available upon request from acaringplace@comcast.net.

More about this rescue

A Caring Place, is an All Breed Dog Rescue organization that is exclusively foster based (no facility) and is volunteer run. We rescue dogs and puppies from animal control facilities, dog pounds, and other shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia. In addition we take in dogs surrendered by their owners who can or are no longer willing to care for their dog. Each dog this rescue takes in receives all medical care and treatment necessary to be healthy, and then place them into loving temporary homes (foster homes) until adopted. Without our foster care provider's, we could not save these dogs.

FOSTER CARE PROVIDERS are always needed!
