My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Beauty: The American Pocket Pittie
Beauty is a charming four-year-old American Pocket Pittie, weighing in at around 50 pounds. With her short legs and affectionate nature, she captures the hearts of everyone she meets. Beauty came into the shelter with her companion, Beast, and while they are not bonded, they do well together. If you're considering adopting a pair, they would make a wonderful addition to your home.
Personality and Temperament
Beauty is incredibly affectionate and loves being around people. Her friendly demeanor makes her a delightful companion. She is also dog-friendly, though she may react if another dog growls at her. As a well-behaved pup, Beauty walks nicely on a leash and respects boundaries in her fenced area.
Health and Wellness
Beauty is in great health. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and has tested negative for heartworms. These measures ensure she's ready to transition into a loving home without any health concerns.
A Call for Foster or Adoption
Beauty is in urgent need of a foster or adopter. With her friendly personality and loving nature, she would thrive in a home where she can receive the attention and care she deserves. Whether you're looking for a single pet or considering adopting both Beauty and Beast, she would undoubtedly bring joy to your life.
Consider opening your heart and home to Beauty, and experience the unconditional love and companionship she has to offer.

More about this rescue

BMAR is a No-Kill facility: a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals, a home for the homeless, a haven for the mistreated, neglected, or abused animals of Sabine & surrounding counties. BMAR also runs a sanctuary for those deemed unadoptible due to medical and behavior issues.

100% Volunteer Rescue. We have no animal control, Humane Society, or SPCA operating in our area leaving animals in dire straights.

BMAR is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty & abuse to all animals & livestock.

We currently only adopt to states and Canada where we have a network in place to monitor animals and help with problems.

BMAR backs it's dogs for life and will take back no matter how long and at any time if circumstance arise and you cannot keep your pet.
