My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESTY POST- We are listing Eartha to help her family find her forever home. Please text or call 860-680-9059 if you would like to meet her.

Eartha is an amazing young dog who loves, loves, loves her people. She is also great with cats, and is incredbily gentle and content in their presence. She has participated in a basic obedience training class where she learned sit, down and stay. She is good on the leash and loves to go places in the car and has great manners while on rides and stays in her spot staring out the window happily! She is crate trained, and obediently goes right in without coaxing. Eartha loves to play with other dogs, and can be around them while out and about but she needs to live as an only dog due to some resource guarding in the home that is ONLY directed at dogs. But, due to this fact, we would also like to see her in an adult only home out of caution. Her family has to keep her seperated from the other dog now and it is just not fair to everyone. Please consider being her angel and meeting this beautiful, low maintenence girl. We will screen applicants but will waive an adoption fee for the right family. She is spayed and up to date on her vaccines and is very healthy and happy. Thank you for considering her.

More about this rescue

FOSTER-BASED

All of our dogs are housed in loving foster homes until their forever family finds them.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:

To provide safe harbor, medical care and love for adoptable dogs that have been abused, abandoned and neglected until they are placed into loving, responsible permanent homes; to decrease the need for senseless destroying of dogs by educating the public about the benefits of spaying & neutering; to build a community where people value animals and treat them with respect and kindness; to promote respect for life, responsible pet ownership and to encourage the higher ideals of compassion towards animals and people through education and example.

OUR COMMITMENT

Prior to adoption, each dog is spayed or neutered, receives a comprehensive veterinary examination and appropriate tests and inoculations. We conduct a thorough screening of all potential adopters to ensure the best possible match between healthy dogs and adoptive homes. We make a lifetime commitment to all of our rescued dogs. Our mission does not end with adoption. We follow up with advice, support and appropriate resources to assure a successful integration of each dog into his or her new home.
