My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bobbyhead is a 6-year-old large terrier cross who came in underweight and with fleas, but he's bounced back with care, attention, and lots of love for Staff and volunteers. Treat-motivated (especially fond of Greenies), he's always ready to show off his silly side.

During a trip to the park with a volunteer, he enjoyed smelling all the smells and was not bothered at all by passing bikes or pedestrians. He did well getting in and out of the car and settled nicely to enjoy the ride. He is a super sweet boy that loves pets wherever he can get them!

True to his name, Bobbyhead is a whirlwind of energy and fun. In playgroup, he started a little awkwardly, but quickly morphed into a springy, bucking bundle of joy - legs flying every which way like a tiny bronco on a mission. When introduced into a group that included another silly, confident male, Bobbyhead bounced around happily and did great, showing off his social and playful side. One-on-one with a female playmate, he was just as goofy and charming, proving he can be both silly and friendly with the right companions.

Bobbyhead is looking for a home that can keep up with his playful antics, enjoy his sense of humor, and give him the care he deserves. Get ready for a dog who lives up to his name in the best way possible.

Although he is heartworm positive, it is treatable and not contagious. Friends of Wake County Animal Center has provided a $600 sponsorship to help cover the cost of treatment.

If you're interested in learning more about him, please reach out to our volunteer matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Bobbyhead 264484".

He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times.
