Cumberbatch is a big, soft-hearted sweetheart with a submissive, cuddly nature. Around people, he melts right into you-slinking into your arms, bowing his head for pets, and trying his best to fit in your lap. He warms up quickly, enjoys gentle handling, and even did great during his vet processing with almost no restraint needed. He loves attention and will happily greet you at his kennel door, ready for affection.
In playgroup, Cumberbatch is still learning appropriate dog-to-dog manners. His excitement can get the best of him, and his intense, vocal playstyle can be a bit much for most dogs. He tends to rush in "hot," stay very close to his play partner, and get overly amped during chase games, so he's a dog who will need slow, careful introductions and continued guidance.
On leash, Cumberbatch can be a puller, but he's eager to learn and loves being with his people-making training a great bonding opportunity.
If you're interested in learning more about him, please reach out to our volunteer matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Cumberbatch 264929".
He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Primary Color: Red Secondary Color: White Weight: 70 Age: 2yrs 1mths 2wks
