🧡 Meet Lucy – A Tender-Hearted Survivor Looking for Love 🧡
Lucy is a 3-year-old spayed female who was rescued from a severe hoarding situation along with over 30 other dogs. She's gentle, quiet, and incredibly resilient despite everything she’s been through.
This sweet girl is not leash-trained yet, but she is pad trained and very gentle when hand-fed. She's learning to eat from a bowl and starting to explore life outside her comfort zone. Lucy enjoys being held and seems to find comfort in gentle lap time and petting — her favorite spot is a soft dog bed in a quiet corner.
Lucy is not aggressive and has never growled or snapped, even under stress. She’s shy and will need someone with patience and experience with unsocialized or hoarded dogs to help her continue her journey to healing.
What Lucy Needs in a Home:
A calm, quiet household (no young children, please)
A fenced yard with a smaller, secure potty area
Another kind and confident dog to help her learn the ropes
A person or family with patience, love, and a gentle routine
Lucy is currently being housed with her friend Ethel, and they have begun to be separated to encourage independence.
This is a special girl who didn’t ask for the circumstances she came from — but she deserves the very best going forward. If you’re ready to open your heart to a dog who will reward your patience with quiet loyalty and love, Lucy is ready to begin her new chapter.

More about this rescue
We are a small, foster-based rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one-on-one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.
It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
