My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Detour is a lively and affectionate Collie/Shepherd/Heeler mix who is about 2-3 years old. He loves meeting new people and has a friendly, outgoing personality. He would be a great companion for outdoor adventures like hiking. He would thrive with a playful canine friend or as the only dog with an active owner.

He met some kids at the adoption event and did wonderfully, although he tends to jump up, so he’s working on his manners. This guy is relatively new to PACA so please inquire for more information.

If you’re interested in meeting Detour, come to our adoption event on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 11am-2pm, located at 6300 San Mateo NE in the south Sprouts parking lot. Please email pacadogs@aol.com to ensure he will be there.

Alternatively, we can arrange a Private Meet-and-Greet with the foster parent and your household with a completed application. Complete an easy, no-obligation online application and take the first step towards welcoming Detour into your home by clicking on this link https://form.jotform.com/222028369049155

Our adoption fee covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, tick borne illness testing and heartworm testing.

More about this rescue

People’s Anti Cruelty Association / Albuquerque Animal Rescue (PACA), a No-Kill rescue group, was founded in 1973. Our main mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehouse homeless dogs and cats. PACA has no shelter facility and relies on an organized network of foster parents who graciously take animals into their homes and hearts until permanent homes are found.
