My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Carl and Camden were brought in by their previous owner on October 12, 2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Say hello to Carl #753852 and Camden #753864 - a bonded pair of guinea pigs who come as a perfectly matched set, like peanut butter and jelly... or snacks and squeaks. Where one goes, the other follows - always together, always in sync. This adorable pair fully expects their next home to pass the vibe check. Think: spacious, open-concept C&C enclosure - a luxury loft setup, not a cramped studio. Cramped cages? That's a hard pass. They've got zoomies to run and snacks to chase, and they need the space to do it in style. Their diet? Curated. These two are total foodies. Unlimited fresh timothy hay is non-negotiable, with a daily rotation of leafy greens (romaine, cilantro, bell pepper - only the good stuff). And don't forget a precise scoop of timothy pellets to keep things balanced. Presentation matters, but they'll still scream like they haven't eaten in days. Sweet, social, and endlessly entertaining, Carl and Camden bring good energy, great squeaks, and top-tier cuddle potential (on their terms, of course). They're ready to upgrade to their new home - preferably one with vibes as strong as theirs. Bring a secure carrier (they don't do flimsy), and get ready to meet your new favorite roommates.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
