This helps Needs Must Cats with pet care costs.
Our rescue is based out of Pikesville, Maryland! We typically do not adopt more than 45 minutes away from Pikesville, so please bear that in mind before you apply/get too attached.
Babyface is the most precious little doll baby of a cat. He's super sweet, outgoing and affectionate, but he needs a family that will allow him plenty of time to adjust at his own pace. Babyface is the friendliest little guy, very talkative, but easily spooked at times (but he seems to realize that he's being unreasonable and gets over it quickly).
This adorable kitty loves to rub against your legs and is sweet and playful. We think he's about five years old. Babyface gets along great with about half the cats in his foster home and loves to play with, snuggle with, and groom them, but some of the others are not fond of him, and he doesn't respect that. How well he would fit into a home with existing cats is entirely dependent on how those cats react to him.
Babyface is particularly close to Sally, a beautiful, shy tabico who loves him very much. Sally is available for adoption only with Babyface, otherwise she can stay here because she is not comfortable with people. Babyface is a silly little guy. When he first sees you, he might hiss, but then within 20 seconds he will be headbutting and making biscuits like crazy. He is the easiest cat to clip the nails of I've seen in a long time.
Babyface is FIV+. Having FIV just means that Babyface may have a more difficult time if faced with illness or injury - like other cats, he should be kept indoors and have his medical needs paid close attention to. FIV only spreads through deep bite wounds and is not spread by shared food or water bowls. That said, when his foster had a kitty cold going around her house, Babyface was one of the few NOT to get it.
To ensure a good rapport between cats, a proper introductory period is critical.
Needs Must Cats have received full vetting including spay or neuter, FIV/FLV testing, microchip, and treatment for parasites.
There is no fee to adopt Babyface for the right home, but your adoption donation in the amount of $50 - $175 helps us assist more cats in urgent need.
