My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi hi hi! I’m Miso, a 1-year-old Ibizan Hound mix with very important things to do, like sniffing cool smells, making new friends, and wagging my tail nonstop!

People say I’m the friendliest guy around, and I take that job very seriously. I just love everyone! Dogs, humans, even kids. If you’ve got time for a walk, a game, or a cuddle, I’m so there.

I’ve got long legs, a big heart, and a goofy side that pops out when I get the zoomies. Life is exciting, and I’m here for all of it, especially if it involves treats or belly rubs.

If you’re looking for a happy, loyal, always-up-for-fun kind of best friend... I think we should meet!

More about this shelter

The Oahu SPCA was founded in April of 2009 and launched its mission, "Every healthy, treatable animal will find a forever home." The overwhelming support of community members was instrumental in helping to establish the first animal shelter in the state of Hawaii with a "no-kill philosophy." On July 18, 2009, 432 animals were relinquished to the Oahu SPCA the Largest Animal Rescue in the history of Hawaii. The Oahu SPCA rescued all 432 animals in 48 hours after the owner of an animal sanctuary in Waianae passes away.
