Status: Looking for a forever or foster home
Triple S is a gentle, frightened soul who just wants to feel safe. She came to us as a stray, and the shelter has been an overwhelming place for her. The noise, new faces, and constant activity have left her scared and unsure, and it’s clear that she’s struggling in this environment.
Triple S desperately needs a calm, patient home (or foster home!) where she can decompress and learn that people can be kind, loving, and gentle. She may take extra time to warm up, but we’ve seen time and time again that cats like her blossom into loving, loyal companions once they feel safe and secure. Some of our most affectionate couch cuddle bugs once hid in their shelter communal spaces, just like she does now.
If you have a quiet space in your home (even a bathroom or office would work) and a kind heart, you could make a world of difference for Triple S. She doesn’t need perfection, just someone who understands that trust takes time and love. Whether you’re ready to foster or adopt, giving her a chance outside the shelter could completely change her life.

Anytime during open hours, no appointment needed. We also house adoptable cats at the Horseheads and Ithaca PetSmarts as well as Sondra's City Zoo in Elmira. Every other month, we alternate off-site adoption events between IRFCU in Sayre, PA and the Williamsport PetSmart.
