My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

INDOOR ONLY HOMES

Shortcut's mom and dad were rescued in March 2022 from a KFC parking lot in La Mirada. Not long after being rescued did mom give birth to four baby bunnies, Shortcut being one of them. Shortcut's dad was a dwarf and mom was a dutch.

Shortcut was born March 23, 2022. He and his brother Shortstop were adopted but returned in September 2025. Shortly upon return, his brother unexpectedly passed away. I suspect Shortcut might want another bunny friend. He would be okay as a solo bun too, however.

Through it all, Shortcut remains a sweet, loveable guy. He has heterochromia in his right eye (blue on the top part of eye and brown in the bottom part of eye).

Shortcut has good litter box habits, is very easy to pet and handle. He was around a dog at his prior adoptive home as well. He weighs about four pounds.

Shortcut should start out living in a 30" or higher exercise pen (x-pen) otherwise known as a puppy pen. He can have that as his home base or transition to a room or a section of a room or free roaming.

Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit.

Shortcut can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information.

PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you’ve never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!

If you have a spayed/neutered single bun searching for a friend, there are plenty of rescue rabbits here available for my signature rapid romance bunny bonding. Male/female bondings are usually recommended. See the following link for more information: https://rabbit.org/care/bonding

More about this rescue

Kribs for Kritters primary focus is rescuing domestic rabbits that have been abandoned at parks, schools, golf courses, fitness trails and any other outdoor location. Kribs for Kritters also assists Golden View Farm Rabbit Rescue in their heroic efforts.

All rabbits are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

We are both a rescue and a shelter. We have over 100 rabbits in our care. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, just ask. It is likely we have a bunny to suit your needs. New bunnies are being rescued every week. We don’t always have time/resources to post every bunny that crosses our path.

We have an exceptionally high success rate of bunny bonding on the very first date. So, if you’re looking for a mate for your existing bunny, give us a try.

Our operating costs are at least $1,000 per month so donations are always appreciated. Donations can be made to PayPal.me/kribsforkritters.
