My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

INDOOR ONLY HOMES

Gingersnap was welcomed into the rescue in June of 2025.  She had a home for an unknown length of time but the family planned to move and release her outdoors to fend for herself. A kind neighbor stepped up and temporarily housed her until rescue placement was found. Shame on those former "owners" of this innocent bun.

Gingersnap arrived here a bit on the round side I suspect due to a suboptimal diet at her prior home. She has slimmed down a bit and could be ready to sport a bikini any day now! Her impressive dewlap still remains though and it provides a lovely cushion for her chin.

Of course her blue eyes are striking perched atop her.tiny little head. She's the kind of dutch bun who is sweet with a bit of sass mixed in. A perfect combo if you ask me!

She's a ground dweller and feels safer if you interact with her at her low level. However, she will definitely periscope if she thinks a treat is coming her way! A healthy treat will keep her new, svelte figure in check.

She enjoys nibbling on a variety of chew toys and is an expert at rearranging her "furniture" just to her liking.

She always appreciates a nose rub any chance you get. She's a calm, good-natured, sweet bun who would love to hop her way into your heart.

It is hard to estimate her age but she could be anywhere from 6-10 years old. If you have a lonely senior bun, she may be a good match

Could you be the one to make her forget her troubles from her prior so-called owner? If so, you'll be rewarded with endless joy compliments of this stunning beauty!

Gingersnap should start out living in a 30" or higher metal exercise pen (x-pen) otherwise known as a puppy pen. She can have that as her home base or transition to a room or a section of a room or free roaming.

Nylon, pop-up playpens are not recommended as a rabbit will chew right through it!

Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit.

Rabbits are a 10+ year commitment.

Gingersnap can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information.

PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you’ve never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!

If you have a spayed/neutered single bun searching for a friend, there are plenty of rescue rabbits here available for my signature rapid romance bunny bonding. Male/female bondings are usually recommended. See the following link for more information: https://rabbit.org/care/bonding

More about this rescue

Kribs for Kritters primary focus is rescuing domestic rabbits that have been abandoned at parks, schools, golf courses, fitness trails and any other outdoor location. Kribs for Kritters also assists Golden View Farm Rabbit Rescue in their heroic efforts.

All rabbits are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

We are both a rescue and a shelter. We have over 100 rabbits in our care. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, just ask. It is likely we have a bunny to suit your needs. New bunnies are being rescued every week. We don’t always have time/resources to post every bunny that crosses our path.

We have an exceptionally high success rate of bunny bonding on the very first date. So, if you’re looking for a mate for your existing bunny, give us a try.

Our operating costs are at least $1,000 per month so donations are always appreciated. Donations can be made to PayPal.me/kribsforkritters.
