We prefer potential adopters to be within 1 hour drive of Claymont DE 19703. Oso (bear in Spanish), was surrendered because his original family could not provide him what he needed. We got “Oh so” and immediately made a vet appointment, we knew he needed to be neutered and dental surgery if his bloodwork was ok, so he was thoroughly checked and good to go. He is a totally different dog after 24 teeth were removed. I don’t think he notices his testies are gone, he is having so much fun chewing on bones, playing with toys and eating with no pain. He has the energy of a 5 year old dog, so not a typical low key senior dog. I would have named him Tigger bc he bounces so much. He just wants to be with his people. If foster mom is sitting, then Oso finds a spot close by to lay down. He loves to go on walks and car rides. He is crate trained too. He gets along with most of the other dogs, except a high energetic one yr old chi that's in everyone’s face. Oso has a very think coat so he will need to be brushed, and he loves it. His bark doesn’t match his size, you would think he was over 50 pounds if you heard his bark behind a closed door. He is very chatty so we will not home him in an apartment or condo. The foster parent will ask to meet the pet closer to the foster home. If it’s a good fit, a home visit and adoption will be scheduled.

We started this organization January 2023. Although the organization is newer, there is a lot of experience within All Our Love Animal Rescue. If an owner needs to rehome their pet, they can surrender the pet over to our rescue, relieving them of the stress. We understand this must be a difficult decision and we will handle the situation and the pet with care. We pull animals that have landed at a local high risk shelter, those that may not make it out otherwise. We often take in the problem fur-kids, the ones the other rescues rather not deal with. We help communities with TNR of cats. This helps to slow down the reproduction of the stray population. The animals are living on the streets or in a shelter because a human failed them. Animals deserve so much better this and we help tot give them that 2nd chance.
