Meet Koko! This senior man is a true introvert and has us all a little perplexed. He has no desire to bond with people but is tolerant when forced to spend time with them.
Will Koko give you cuddles? No. Will he want to spend time with you and your family on the couch? No. Does he even want to come inside the house? Not really. Would he enjoy being fed regularly? Yes. Would he like a comfy dog house in a nice yard or on some land he can roam? Absolutely! It’s not often that we recommend a dog be adopted as an outside dog but we do think he’d be happiest if that was the arrangement. He's a real lone wolf. He is very good on a leash though and we think he would enjoy daily walks - which might be a good way to develop a bond with him. Bonus points if the walks are in the snow - he LOVES snow!
While Koko is not looking for anyone, he has to have someone to at least be kind to him and provide him the basics. So, we are looking for a home for Koko that understands his desire to do his own thing and maybe offer a head pat or two when Koko wants it. And, who knows, maybe as time goes on Koko will learn how nice it is to be a part of a family that wants to include him in their lives. But, until that day comes, he needs someone to love and accept him just the way he is. Don't we all?

Approve Application
Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal.

Meet the Pet
The hold ensures you get to meet & make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Holds expire at 10:30am at our adoption event.

Interview
Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
The animal's medical records will also be released at this time. A one-week trial period is included with all our adoptions.
6.
Pay Fee
This includes up-to-date vaccinations, spay/neuter, 4DX testing (for dogs), FeLV/FIV (for cats), and microchip.

The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.
We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)
Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed.
Our animals’ adoption fees can be found on their individualized adoption listings found on our website (www.bounceanimalrescue.org). Our adoption fees includes up-to-date vaccinations, spay/neuter, 4DX testing (for dogs 6+ months), FeLV/FIV testing (for cats), and microchip! Since we are a non-profit organization, these fees are tax-deductible.
Our weekly adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). The holds for our events expire at 10:30am.
Our rescue includes a one week trial period with the adoption of all of our animals. This allows you to take the animal home to ensure it is the perfect fit for you, your family, and lifestyle. If it does not work out, we accept the animal back into rescue and refund half the adoption fee.
