My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This pet needs emergency placement. Please click here to go to our emergency placement page for more information.

Stormi is at risk for behavior reasons. Stormi remains sweet and social with staff and volunteers when out of kennel. However, she is highly kennel reactive and has the potential to redirect onto a handler when exiting the room. She has escalated to higher level warnings, snarling at other dogs at the gate, and will react on leash from a distance. She should be the only dog. Medically, she has dental disease and is overweight. Hypothyroidism ruled out as the underlying cause.

🌩️ Meet Stormi! 🌩️
If you're looking for a loyal best friend who's equal parts playful companion and snuggly couch buddy, Stormi is your girl! This affectionate sweetheart loves nothing more than being near her people-whether that's joining in on your daily adventures or curling up beside you for some well-earned relaxation.

Stormi is a social, loving dog who enjoys being part of the action. You'll usually find her hanging out in the living room or wherever the family is gathered, happily soaking up all the attention she can get.

She's a dream when it comes to grooming-baths, brushing, even nail trims are no problem for this easygoing girl. Stormi walks beautifully on leash with very little pulling, and she's already mastered all her basic cues. She also loves car rides and is always ready to hop in for a fun outing!

Stormi's perfect home will be one where she can be the center of attention-she needs to be the only dog in the household. In return, she'll fill your life with love, laughter, and endless cuddles. 💕

My boroughbreaker writes: Stormi jumped right in my car with her tail wagging so happily. We went back to my house. I took her for a walk in the neighborhood. She enjoyed smelling and looking all around. She has very good leash manners and was a pleasure to walk with her. When we got in the house she was so excited to explore her new surroundings. She was very happy to meet members of my family. She's such a sweetheart. She enjoyed being scratched and hugged , she loved when I massaged her neck and head. She wanted to be close to me & snuggle up on the couch. Shes a sweetie of a dog.

My boroughbreaker writes: Stormi was an overall great dog, it was so sad to have to bring her back. Stormi is an absolute delight! I took her out on a borough break today, and while she started off excited in the new environment, pulling a bit and not too interested in treats, she quickly showed her true colors once she felt safe and settled. This beautiful, strong little chunky monkey absolutely shines in a calm, low-traffic area.
Once she relaxed, she took treats gently, walked like a dream, and covered me in the sweetest kisses. She was so grateful just to be outside and enjoy the world with someone by her side.
