It turns out I’d much rather be the queen of my castle. Because of that, I’m looking for a home where I can be your one and only feline. I’ll be honest — I can be shy when I’m unsure. If you walk toward me too quickly, I might scurry away. It’s not personal! I just like to approach life at my own pace. Once I feel safe, though? I’m friendly, gentle, and quietly affectionate. I don’t enjoy being picked up (I will dramatically cling to whatever surface I’m on and protest with heartfelt meows), and laps aren’t really my thing. But pets? Yes please — when I ask for them. I’ll let you know when I’ve had enough by simply wandering off to recharge. I’m an independent lady like that. I love to play — especially with string toys! Watching that little piece of string move around? Pure joy. One of the sweetest things about me? When I’m feeling comfortable and relaxed, I love to give little kisses. It’s my quiet way of saying, “You’re my person.” I would do best in a calm, patient home with someone who understands that love doesn’t always look like being held or sitting on laps. The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
