This is Atlas - a calm, easygoing gentleman who’s all about enjoying life at his own relaxed pace. He`s very easy to leash up and take out, and he walks beautifully on a leash without pulling. In the play yard he`s relaxed, calm, and content to do his own thing, making him a great match for someone looking for an easygoing companion. He’s happy to soak up some pets and enjoys spending time near people without needing constant attention. Atlas knows how to sit for a treat and has a fun side too — he can catch treats midair but is also gentle taking them from your hand. If you’re looking for a laid-back, sweet dog Atlas could be the perfect fit!

More about this shelter
We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.
We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.
The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.
We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.
We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
We hope that you will find your new love at our shelter - we always have so many to choose from!
