G’day! I’m Goat, or as some of the younger pups around me like to say, Grandpa Goat.
I’m 8 ½ years young and a total sweetheart. I’m quite submissive and prefer to take a backseat role in the pack. I like having other dogs around me, they make me feel safe & secure! My paws are crossed that I end up with a fur-sibling or two.
I’m low energy and like to take lots of naps. It takes me a bit of time to get comfortable in my crate and I may moan & groan for the first 5-10 minutes, but once I find my cozy spot, I’ll settle.
I enjoy going on walks with other dogs, taking car rides and sniffing around outside. I’m very easy to please and don’t need a lot of stimulation or attention. I’m great on the leash, potty-trained and do well with other dogs. I haven’t met any cats and do love to stalk bunnies/squirrels, so I’m not sure how much I’d like to live with a cat… we can try it out!
Now here’s the thing, because I didn’t grow up in a stable home, I’m a bit anxious and a bit insecure (who can relate?!). I can get worked up when I find myself feeling nervous and need the support of a loving human to help me build my confidence and feel calm in a new situation. If you have experience with separation anxiety, I think you could be my very best friend… what do you think?
I’m really excited to find my forever home and live the best day, every day, with you.
Love,
Goat
