My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Morgan is a beautiful 4-year old female Hound mix who was brought to the HSOV on September 18th 2025 by the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden along with her two little companions Hook and Sparrow (who could possibly be her offspring). The little ‘Pirates of the Caribbean” were kept safe for the mandatory 14-day hold since their owner had been identified. They have now been surrendered and will soon be ready to find new homes of their very own.

Morgan has a white coat, a long tail, and an adorable face with dark brown eyes, a large brown pirate's patch around her right eye, and large floppy ears which frame her face. Morgan's left ear is white with brown spots while her right ear is brown. This lovely lady has the nicest smile~

These photos of Morgan were taken on October 11, 2025 when HSOV Volunteer Jennie Sherrard accompanied her for outdoor glamour photos. Morgan has the sweetest disposition and is an easy dog to fall in love with.

Morgan weighs 54 lbs and walks fairly well on a leash.

Morgan will be spayed before being officially adopted (a requirement for HSOV adoptions to be finalized). She could be fostered-to-adopt while awaiting her spay procedure with an approved HSOV foster/adoption application.

Morgan, Hook and Sparrow are enjoying a spacious 'apartment' together (i.e., the shelter breakroom) so that they didn't have to be separated into small floor crates.

Each of these beautiful dogs are friendly and love attention. These good little pirates are quite social and only steal people's hearts .. not their worldly possessions.

Update: Morgan was spayed on October 27, 2025 and was also given rabies vaccine.

Hook was adopted on November 5, 2025.

Note: Morgan and Sparrow are being listed as a bonded pair since we feel that it is in their best interest to be adopted together .
