Brain is looking for a family who can ensure he lives out his days in comfort without the chance to (slowly) make a break for the wild, as red-eared sliders are non-native to California and can disrupt our local ecosystem. While Brain could settle into a massive indoor aquarium (100+ gallons), His ideal habitat is an outdoor pond where he can swim, bask and explore in a safe, predator-free environment. The pond should be established and bioactive or equipped with a high-tech filter to keep things clean. With a lifespan of over 20 years, Brain thrives on a diet of turtle pellets, supplemented with a species-specific menu including delicacies like insects, fruits and veggies.
