Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB: May 5, 2024
Kitty Gaga is a sweet and gentle soul that has been through a lot in her short life. She is best fit for a calm home where she can feel safe to come out of her shell. She is great with friendly/gentle cats, but is easily bullied by more aggressive cats.
She came to Toronto Cat Rescue from a hoarding situation and wanted nothing to do with humans, but with time she became an affectionate kitty who loved being petted. Then she was adopted into a home where the resident cat didn’t want to share their space and would bully and act aggressively towards her. This led to some redirected aggression that wasn’t handled well. It was decided at that point to return her to TCR.
In her current foster home, she is fully and happily integrated with several other cats. Her progress has not been as fast with humans. Her first instinct was to flinch when being petted, but has since progressed to her arching up into the pets, but she doesn’t yet seek out the interaction on her own. Instead, she is happy to observe her foster mom go about her business from her favourite spots.
She loves to hang out in a covered bed that is way up high, or any high and or partially covered space. The tube on the cat tree is another preferred place. This comes from her need to feel safe, and as she settles in a new home will lessen.
She does love to communicate with other humans and other cats. While she quietly chirps to the other cats her little meows to her humans are adorable. In the video attached, you can see how she behaved in her foster home. This was taken prior to her previous adoption, but it shows how given some time and a home where she feels safe she will flourish and become that sweet and affectionate kitty once again
