Forever Home Wanted: Meet Flower!
Flower is a beautiful one-year-old Labrador mix, about 30–35 pounds, who has endured far more than any dog ever should. She was cruelly thrown from a car in a crate—pregnant—and picked up by animal control. During her spay, her puppies were aborted, and it’s no surprise that this gentle girl has lost much of her trust in humans.
Now safe in our care, Flower is beginning to heal both physically and emotionally. She’s shy and cautious, but beneath that fear is a heart that wants to connect. Each day she takes a few brave steps forward—curious about new sights, sounds, and gentle hands. She’s crate trained, sleeps through the night, and is making progress with her potty training. Leash walks are still a work in progress, as she finds them a bit scary, but with patience and positive guidance, she’ll get there.
Flower loves exploring the yard and quietly observing the world around her—you can almost see her rediscovering joy. She gets along with other dogs and would truly thrive in a calm home with a confident, well-adjusted canine companion to help show her that life can be safe and kind.
Flower is ready for a patient, loving family to help her bloom into the happy, trusting dog she’s meant to be. If you’re interested in adopting Flower, please fill out an application at www.labradorsandfriends.org.
Flower is located in Southern California.
