My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chanel: The Resilient Water Dog

This gorgeous Labrador Retriever mix, born February 2023, is a true survivor. Her story began when her family placed her in boarding and heartbreakingly never returned for her.

Despite this tough start, Chanel has blossomed into a happy, playful girl in her foster home! She loves to roughhouse with the big dogs but is a perfect little lady, using gentle manners with smaller pups.

Her ultimate joy? Water! Whether it's a pool, a puddle, or a sprinkler, she's obsessed! If you’re looking for a resilient, fun, and loving dog, Chanel is ready to shower you with affection.

Vetted & Ready: Spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped.

Please complete an adoption application at www.pathwaysforpaws.com. If she fits your family and lifestyle, you will be contacted within 48 hours.

Additional adoption info

In some circumstances, meeting the dog and a home check are done at the same time if the dog is ready to be adopted. We do have conversation with potential adopters prior to them meeting the dog. If they are interested in adopting a puppy who is not ready for adoption (not altered, not UTD, etc) they are able to put a hold on the pup until ready for adoption.

More about this rescue

Pathways for Paws was founded in October 2019. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization.

Our mission is to make spay/neuter & vaccinations affordable to those in our communities. By achieving this, we will help prevent the neglect & abuse of dogs. All dogs in our care are spay/neutered, given the age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before going to their FURever families.

We work with rescues & fellow animal advocates to continue growing a network of volunteers and supporters.
