My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Foxy is a very sweet gray cat who was found left in a Home Depot box with a few cans of cat food in it at the park with a male cat Onix and their five kittens. Luckily, they were picked up by a cat rescuer who go them int a foster home. In spite of such a sad way to be left at the park she is a very sweet and gentle kitty. They must have been loved and cared for before someone made the unfortunate choice to leave them at the park to fend for themselves.

Foxy is gentle and calm and loves to be pet. She loves catnip covered soft toys. She likes to nap and relax and hang out on your bed. She loves eating and giving herself a bath. She is named Foxy because she looks like a silver fox. She is very sweet with her human foster brother and likes to sleep on the bed with him. She would probably love to have a calm human child in her new home.

Foxy will be your life long companion and everyone who meets her will comment about how silky and calm she is. Who could resist this silky house fox?

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.

To help ensure that we place our cats in loving, responsible, committed homes, we have a screening process before you can adopt a pet from Kitten Rescue. We reserve the right to turn down potential adopters as we deem necessary. First, we ask that you complete our Adoption Questionnaire at kittenrescue.org/cat-adoption-form/. You can complete the form online or you may stop by a weekly adoption event to complete form in person. Second, a home visit or a home delivery of the cat or kitten is also required as part of our adoption process.

The Kitten Rescue adoption fee is $150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, and $100 for each additional kitten or cat to the same household ($250 if you adopt a pair). Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.

All of our cats have already been:
Spayed or neutered
Vaccinated – with at least one FVRCP vaccination
Treated for fleas
Dewormed
Tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia) and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus)
Microchipped

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
