My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rubble is a sweet 8-1/2 year old female Terrier mix who was surrendered by her owner on October 9, 2025 due to landlord/housing issues.

This little lady has a black short smooth coat with a large white bib on her chest, white paws, a long tail, and a pretty face with sad, soulful brown eyes, a dusting of white on her muzzle, and erect ears.

Rubble will surely tug at your heartstrings when you meet her in person (and perhaps through seeing her pictures). She has a quiet, rather demure, personality. Rubble was curled up with her blankets in a floor crate when we took first photos, and she melted our photographer's heart the moment they made eye contact.

... And we want to note that Rubble is now in a large kennel with a Kuranda bed/blankets instead of that small floor crate.

Thanks to HSOV Lead Canine Kennel Tech, Emily Beaver, we were able to take outdoor photos of Rubble late in the afternoon on October 18th 2025. Rubble politely sniffed around in the green grass and looked to Emily for guidance to make sure she was still nearby.

Rubble weighs 39 lbs and walks gently on a leash.

Rubble's fur is sparse on her lower back, tail, and hind legs (most likely due to a flea- or other skin allergy). We realize that she isn't looking her best at the moment and hope that potential fosters/adopters will envision what she will look like after the wonderful care that our compassionate HSOV Kennel Tech will be giving Rubble.

We look forward to taking updated photos of Rubble in a few weeks' time when her coat has grown back~
