🐾✨ Meet Tom! ✨🐾

Tom is a 3-year-old Pitbull mix 🐕 who’s been in rescue with Journey’s Legacy since Fall 2024 🍂. He’s a compact, muscular pup weighing around 47 lbs ⚖️, full of energy and a heart full of love 💖. Tom lights up when he sees his people, ready to play 🎾, snuggle 🛋️, and share his affection.

He’s fully vetted 💉, microchipped 🆔, and in great health. Tom’s ideal home would include other dogs larger than him 🐕, especially females 💕. Mealtimes should be separate 🍽️, and he’d do best in a home without cats 🐱 or small dogs, as his playful energy is better suited to bigger companions.

Tom is wonderful with kids 👧🧒 and adults alike. He loves playing ball 🎾, chasing toys 🧸, and exploring the yard 🌳, and after a good romp, he’s all about cuddles 🥰 and lap time. Loyal, affectionate, and always eager to be near his humans 🤗, he’ll bring joy to your home every day.

⚠️ Note: Tom is a clever escape artist 🕵️‍♂️, so a securely fenced yard 🏡 is required for his safety while he enjoys the outdoors.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Adoption applications are the first step to meeting a dog in our rescue. You must be approved prior to meeting a dog.

2.
Approve Application

Our rescue reviews the application for approval to adopt from our rescue.

3.
Interview

Our rescue reaches out to discuss any questions on the application and explain the process.

4.
Meet the Pet

We will set up a meet and greet with the dog at this point.

5.
Home Check

If the meet and greet goes well, a home check is done either virtually or in person.

6.
Pay Fee

The adoption fee is paid at this point. Transport fee of up to $200 applies to areas if more than a 2-hour drive dependent on the distance.

7.
Sign Adoption Contract

The adoption contract is signed once the fee is paid and then you take the dog home.

Journey's Legacy is a small rescue in Cleveland, TN. We save dogs from the local shelter, off the streets, and occasionally owner surrenders if there is room or an urgent need. We have dogs in foster homes, boarding facilities, and the ranch. We specialize in medium to large breed dogs. We are working hard to get laws to change to require pet owners to spay and neuter their pets to stop the overpopulation of animals.
